Switch off the computer and handle the storage device gently. Avoid unnecessary testing, repeated power cycles or opening a sealed drive.
Place the drive in an anti-static/ESD bag where available. This helps protect exposed electronics from electrostatic discharge.
Wrap the protected device with sufficient bubble wrap or soft foam on all sides. The device should not move freely inside the package.
Choose a rigid, sturdy cardboard box with enough space for cushioning around the device. Avoid thin envelopes or loose packaging.
Use good-quality packing tape to secure the box and reinforce the seams so it stays closed during handling and transport.
Use a reliable courier with tracking. Keep the tracking number and share it with our team so we can follow the shipment.
